planification
Before doing anything: what is the intent? Thinking things over is always worth the time.
"Measure twice, cut once" is my life motto.

composition
As I learned previously as a director of photography, nothing speaks like a well crafted screen composition.
A good frame will guide the player better than any quest assignment.

anticipation
Anticipate production challenges.
Anticipate the player's experience.
Anticipate that any design might be worth cutting.
